The International Canteen championship continues a long tradition that began more than a decade ago. The Czech University of Life Sciences is currently preparing its fourth year. Professional two-person teams of chefs work on the perfect combination of ingredients, taste and visual presentation always in accordance with the specific competition task.
Emphasis is also placed on the theme of sustainability and balance throughout the menu. It is also essential for us that the competitor creates and presents a menu that can actually be included in the standard menu of the canteen, i.e. it can be cooked in the required portion size.
However, the main objective is to enable the exchange of experiences in a pleasant and relaxed environment and also to encourage the fortel, originality and creativity of the competing teams and thus reflect it back into the quality of the service we offer our diners.
The competition at the CZU is organized in cooperation with Delirest and many renowned personalities in the culinary field. Experienced professionals will not only judge the participants in the upcoming next edition of the cooking competition, but will also provide them with a wealth of practical experience as part of a rich accompanying programme.
